The Access to Higher Education Diploma (Social Work) is a pathway which has been designed for individuals who want to become social workers but don’t yet have the grades they need to get into university. The course explores issues such as poverty, ethics and anti-oppressive practice. It also includes a number of extra units to help improve the student’s academic abilities. On completion of this course, students will have a strong foundation of knowledge in social work. Armed with their nationally recognised Level 3 qualification, they will now be eligible to apply for a social work related degree at a UK university.
