President Park receive an honorary doctorate from the Paris-Sorbonne University
Before President President Park meeting with
French President Francois Hollande, earlier in the day President Park received an honorary
doctorate from the Paris-Sorbonne University. During her acceptance speech, she emphasized
how creative economy and the prospering of Kwon Jang-ho has this report.
Hours before President Park Geun-hye was set to meet with her French counterpart Francois
Hollande, she found time to receive an honorary doctorate from the Paris-Sorbonne University. Delivering her keynote speech in French, she
said Korea and France are the best suited partners in their drive to develop ‘creative
economy’ and spread culture and that that partnership had already started. She added that she hopes to increase exchanges
between the schools of both countries…and support the their talented young people. ” , , ”
The night before she also attended a K-pop music concert, billed as the largest K-pop
concert in the world. It’s part of seven-day music and cultural
festival, named K-Con, being held in nine major cities around France, and organized
to celebrate the 130th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Korea and France.
After the concert she even meet with Korean pop group SHINee and took a moment to sample
some Korean treats at the sidelines of the event. “I think, with global stars SHINee introducing
Korean desserts like bungeoppang ,… their popularity is sure to be explosive.”
… It was a light-hearted start to the trip,
before she gets down more serious business on Monday’s summit talks, where the two state
leaders are expected to have plenty of important topics to discuss, from economic issues to
